Important Fall Election Dates

With the Fall Election right around the corner, here are some dates to keep in mind. Any underlined text is a link to more information; right click and select open in a new window or new tab. As always, call your clerk if you have any questions (715 677 4784) Here are dates to remember:

Absentee Voting- Deadlines for the November 3, 2026 General Election All voters in Wisconsin can request an absentee ballot be mailed to them for any reason. Voters must be registered before they can request an absentee ballot. Voters may request their absentee ballot in writing. Click this link to request an absentee ballot on MyVote.wi.gov You must provide a photo ID with your absentee ballot request, More information on photo ID can be found here.

  • In-Person Absentee Voting - October 20, 2026, through November 1, 2026-Voters can request and vote an absentee ballot in-person in their municipal clerk’s office through November 1, 2026. Call 715 677 4784 to schedule an appointment. Check MyVote or contact your municipal clerk for absentee voting hours.

  • Regular and Overseas Voters: Through October 29, 2026 @ 5:00 p.m.- Request an Absentee Ballot- If you are a regular or a Overseas Voters, your absentee ballot request must be received by your municipal clerk (please use mailing address posted) no later than 5:00 p.m. on October 29, 2026. Ballots for Regular and Overseas Voters must be returned to the Clerk’s office by mail or in person OR returned by the voter at the Polls no later than 8:00 pm November 3 to be counted.

  • Indefinitely Confined and Military -Through October 30, 2026 @ 5:00 p.m.- Request an Absentee Ballot- - If a voter is indefinitely confined, or military and not away from home, your absentee ballot request must be received by your municipal clerk no later than 5:00 p.m. on October 30, 2026.

    • Hospitalized Voters, Sequestered Jurors, and Military Away- Please call your clerk (715 677 4784). Your ballot must be received by your municipal clerk no later than 8:00 p.m. (5:00 p.m. for Military-Away) on Election Day, November 3, 2026.

Voter Registration- Deadlines for the November 3, 2026 General Election Voters can register in the following ways. All voters must provide a Proof of Residence document when registering to vote by mail, in-person in the clerk’s office, or at the polls on Election Day. You must reside in New Hope at least 28 days prior to the election, or vote at your previous polling place. Here’s how to register, or update your name or address:

  • Register by Mail -OR Register to vote online. Deadline October 14, 2026- By Mail: Your voter registration form, along with proof of residence must be postmarked to your municipal clerk no later than October 14, 2026. Call 715 677 4784 for mailing address. Online: Voters who are able to match their name, date of birth, Wisconsin Driver License or State ID number, and address with the Wisconsin DMV can register to vote online through October 14, 2026.

  • Register in Your Municipal Clerk’s Office no later than October 30, 2026 @ 5:00 p.m.-Call 715 677 4784 for appointment. Voters may register in-person in their municipal clerk’s office during the clerk’s business hours until 5:00 p.m. on October 30, 2026. Find your Municipal Clerk’s Contact Information here.

  • Register to Vote at Your Polling Place- November 3, 2026 - from 7:00 a.m.-8:00 p.m. Voters can register to vote at their polling place on Election Day, November 3, 2026. Find your Polling Place here.
