Notice of OPEN BOOK 2024 scheduled for May 13, 2024
- Pursuant to s. 70.45, Wis. stats., the Town of New Hope assessment roll for the year 2024 assessment will be open for examination on Monday, the 13th day of May, 2024, at the foyer of North New Hope Church from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m.
- Instructional material about the assessment, how to file an objection, and board of review procedures under Wisconsin law will be available at that time.

Special Assessment for Garbage and Recycling
The Town of New Hope held a Special Meeting of Electors on November 21, 2023 to discuss and approve the 2024 budget, which includes a special assessment for garbage and recycling, to be applied to each residence (primary and seasonal) for the 2023 tax year. The annual assessed fee per residence is $203.75, and includes weekly garbage pick up and bi-weekly recycling pick up. Garbage and recycling bins were distributed prior to 2023.
The special assessment charge was approved by unanimous vote; a special assessment charge of $203.75 appears on New Hope residents’ 2023 tax bill. This charge includes the monthly cost per residence (primary, seasonal, and rentals), plus a portion of the fuel surcharge expected for the coming year.
